Its April 20th, all is well here in Malmesbury. It is lovely and sunny and no sign of volcanic ash but we are assured its up in the sky. How awful it is for people wanting to go on holiday and probably worse for those wishing to come home! What will be will be and I have a basic philosophy of refusing to get stressed or worry about matters that are beyond my control. I count my blessings for what I have and always end up with a glass brim full of optimism.
I am hoping to catch up with my son and was due to fly away on Sunday..if its not to be..there are always tax returns to be done!

Happy New Financial Year
Happy new year..well to us accountants it is the start of the new financial year and yes the setting up of the new software for filing 2010 tax returns.!!
I hope everyone had a Happy and peaceful Easter. I wobbled 40 miles in the mud and pouring rain but I am very happy to completed the event. I am now ready to start testing and training with the Kit for the Gobi Desert Challenge.
I believe with everything in life all has been done one step at a time. In my training I have slowly built up my speed and stamina so that I can run 40 miles and be able to get up the next day to set off again. Now I have to try all this carrying a pack and consider altitude and heat... well the pack is this weeks test...

A new event
April 2nd
Well its sometime since I blogged ..however I am now back and in training for The Gobi Desert which takes place in July.
Its raining as I write this..which is OK as I am supposed to rest today ready for the 40 mile mud bath tomorrow. Its further than I have dine for some time so I am treating it with a little trepidation. It is 5 years since I completed the Sahara and in that time I have turned 50 in fact I am 53 and whether I like it or not age does effect performance and training. Any injury takes longer to recover..and my joints really do not like the damp. However I do enjoy going out and wobbling..yes even my running has changed!!
I love the training and I do need a goal. The training clears my head and I think helps my performance as an accountant..
I have wonderful clients who I consider to be friends and whose encouragement and support I hold very dear to my heart. I am a very luck lady.
